Your strawberry tears won’t do you much good here

Little care given and minimal time spent didn’t seem to leave much of a dent

As candid and blunt as you are, there’s always something you keep barred

Others fall for your Hersey’s kiss, but I know they’re only a cleverly disguised diss

Negativity dressed in pretty clothes is still lethal even when no one else knows

Your candied apple is rotten under the coat, but your shell is all you need to gloat

I can’t accuse you because you do it well; you make it look fun living inside your Hell

A smile now comes so natural to you despite the fact that there’s pain in everything you do

Keep going until you can go no more; keep walking until you reach a locked door

Carry on with your sugar-filled tears, but those strawberry drops still have no use here
